Singabored Already

After realizing that I have the evening free of conference calls and compulsive QA checks, I thought about what is the best way to spend my free time. So I asked Jojo what we can do that is enjoyable and inexpensive.

He suggested movies. I was looking for other alternatives.

He suggested having a nice dinner. But I am on a diet.

He suggested malling. But I don't want to tempt myself into shopping.

I suggested going to East Coast. He said it is too far.

I thought about the library but I feel guilty ignoring him and ogle about books again. It's like looking at another man.

We are running out of things to do already on a weekday. Tell-tale signs of a Singabored OFW worker?

So where did we end up? We ended up eating a steak and sausage dinner in Blue Mist in Amara and talked for the whole evening. Busted wallet and diet ha ha. It seems that the only way to get fun around here is if you spend for it and/or swallow it with your mouth.

Latest Readings

A lot of books has been lined up for me to read:

  • Wilbur Smith - a colleague of mine has recommended and even lent me hardbound copies of two of his favorite novels Warlock and The Seventh Scroll. Since this is a different flavour than the fantasy and quirky chic literature that I've been perusing lately, I don't mind taking Epic African adventure novels and see if it is worth the read
  • Robin Cook - my heart stopped while I was reading one of his best-sellers Coma. The same colleague lent me this equally huge book Chromosome 6. So I might as well read also.
  • Susan Elizabeth Philips - my current addiction after the Sophie Kinsella's shopaholic series. What can I say, chick literature has always been my guilty pleasure.
  • David Eddings - After reading the first two books of his Elenium series, I have yet to find the third and final novel The Diamond Throne. Will Sparhawk save Queen Ehlana? I'm already on the edge my seat dying to know despite its predictable ending.
