A Bleak Beginning

All hopefuls look forward to the New Year with renewed spirits of making it a better year for them. But I being the usual hopeful have lost hope, after seeing all the dues of the past year carried over to this New Year. And for that, my spirits were dampened as I listened to the firecrackers outside my house in Manila and dreading for tomorrow to come.

Cheers to another year of hard times and trials. Hurrah!

But as my good friend would put it, good times will come for those who have paid their dues. I know that one of these days, I will reap the hard work that I have sowed. By then, I can celebrate life once more and be thankful that I have been given this opportunity to work overseas and prove that I can withstand any obstacles.
